In October, WALTER, together with the Xixiashu Tool Association, held the first CNC technology competition in Xixiashu. The competition had two steps: preliminary and final competitions, mainly to test the operator's numerical control skills theory and programming knowledge. Total 10 players made it to the final on the 29th after the preliminary round on October 22.

Since the practice of the competition and measurement process are carried out on the WALTER machine, the competition organizing committee specially invited WALTER sales and technical team colleagues as referees. The final is to require participants to produce two tools in 60 minutes, then choose the better one as the final result.

Tomas Majer, leader of the WALTER HELITRONIC G 200 program, was also involved in the competition as one of the referees. During the competition, he was interviewed by New Tools Business, who introduced WALTER's applications in the aviation, medical and electric vehicle industries, as well as the development and application of software products that WALTER prides himself on. The reporter also asked with interest the difference between the WALTER machine imported from Europe and the local machine as HELITRONIC ESSENTIAL AUTOMATION, HELITRONIC G 200, Tomas explained that the functional aspects are almost identical. However, in terms of design, taking into account the needs of Chinese customers, they choose small print with excellent performance.

After more than an hour of competition and judgment, Mr. Chen Xingli, from WALTER's old customer Changzhou Sneier Automation Equipment Co., Ltd.'s won the championship.

This competition not only provides an opportunity for WALTER users in Xixiashu to exchange experiences, but also brings WALTER closer to the customer, face-to-face to discuss the problems easily occurred in practice. It is also good for us to develop and design products from customer’s point of view in the future.
